Hi! My name is Lars de Ruyter alias Angulars and I am an independant illustrator based in Heemskerk, the Netherlands. Currently I rent a studio in welknown creative workspace the ‘Broedmachine’.
I graduated from the Grafisch Lyceum Amsterdam (now MA College) in 2001 with a degree in design & illustration and for almost 10 years I enjoyed working as a graphic designer.
Handmade unique artwork
I began my freelance career in 2010 as a visualiser and storyboard artist. Since 2017 I create unique, hand drawn geometric artwork under the name of Angulars. My drawing style is ‘clear line’. In this way I combine my design skills and great love of graphic design, illustration and typography as much as I can.
Mainly I am intrigued by forces of nature, real or fictional. But in particular all animal manifestations, for they represent all that is strong and fragile on our precious planet. They are without a doubt an endless inspiration for me and my art.
